Chicago Tribune - Judges appear cool to Black appeal - Media baron didn't steal, attorneys says
The Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals listened to arguments in the Conrad Black appeal. The panel included Hon. Richard Posner. Here are stories describing the oral argument –
Conrad Black, former newspaper publisher, was sentenced to 6 1/2 years in prison and he was sent to prison prior to the resolution of his appeal.
As a reminder:
In 2007, he was convicted on three counts of mail fraud and one count of obstruction of justice.Black was guilty of diverting funds for personal benefit from money properly due Hollinger International when the company sold certain publishing assets. Black and other executives received 'non-compete' fees paid by purchasers who acquired Hollinger International properties .

He might be right with the White House stealing and saying it's ok why not use that as an excuse. Black might think twice about leaving jail as he's not wanted in Canada. Here's another man without a country.
