CIA watching for al-Qaida 'succession crisis' The U.S. is making "a big and continual push" to capture or kill al-Qaida [al-CIAduh] leader Osama bin Laden [Just before the 2008 'elections'] but his demise won't end the organization's menace, CIA Director Michael Hayden said Tuesday in an Associated Press interview. The CIA is equally interested in those jockeying to replace bin Laden in what he predicted will be a "succession crisis."

A top Afghan intelligence official said Tuesday his agency received information several months ago that Al-Qaeda figurehead Osama bin Laden is hiding in northern Pakistan bordering Afghanistan.
The official, speaking on condition of anonymity, told AFP that bin Laden was said to be in a mountainous region in Chitral, a Pakistani region facing Afghanistan's eastern province of Kunar.

To keep the fear in Americans the White House brings out the name Osama. Look Osama is better protected by US homeland security then Americans. Osama has traveled all over the world with his family and I wouldn't be surprised if he visited Disneyland and toured New York City and went to a Broadway Play after dinner. This man is made bigger then he is by Bush/Cheney. The idiots running the country have no idea what groups are terrorist. I know Republicans are as dumb as door knobs about the Middle East. But when John Kerry open his mouth and said the President of Iran is the leader well that was it for me. When a baby boomer know who rules Iran and the White House and Law Makers don't you know why we're in this mess. To think these idiots are paid for their stupidity. Most don't even know about the United States.
A mine is a terrible thing to waste and our Government has lost and wasted their mines. As I visit Foreign site its sad to read how stupid the world thinks of the United States now. We were once the Leaders and admired by all now we're a laughing joke and broke with a weak Military.

Or they play the we captured/killed some Al Qaeda, Taliban leader cards.
The intelligent people of this country see how they play these fear cards.......oh ya, the Iran has Nukes card......pa leeze the IAEA is over there breathing down their backs so much, surely with the IAEA's close connection to the UN if there were some viable threat the UN would be all over it.
Too many scare cards are being played by this administration and it lets you know who the idiots are who believe the tactics of these scares.
You are right, Chicago Native. Most folks are not interested in finding Bin Laden because the Gerbil just worn out his name and has flip flop to the people on where Bin Laden is.
