July 14, 2003: Columnist Robert Novak identified Plame as a CIA operative and said she had suggested sending Wilson to Niger.
April 7, 2006: White House Press secretary, Scott McClellan announced in a press conference that Bush declassified the National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) on July 18, 2003. But on July 18, 2003, Scott McClellan was asked when the NIE was declassified. McClellan said, “It was officially declassified today.”
From McClellan's press gaggle in April 2006:
Q Back when the NIE was released on July 18, 2003, you were asked that day when that had been actually declassified. And you said in that gaggle that it had been declassified that day. And if that's the case, then when the information was passed on to the reporter 10 days earlier, then it was still classified at that time.
MR. McCLELLAN: Well, I think you're referring -- a couple of things. First of all, it was publicly released that day, so that's when a portion of the National Intelligence Estimate that we were making available to the public was released. The second part of your question is referring to an ongoing legal proceeding, and referring to a filing in that legal proceeding. We have had a policy in place, going back to the October time period of 2003, that we are not going to comment on an ongoing investigation or an ongoing legal proceeding. That policy remains unchanged.

Scott was a loyal misguided Bushie. Yes the little Buckaroo was so happy he was with the President he would lick his toes if asked. This is what happens when people put idiots up so high because they have money. What the little Buckaroo didn't see was Bush was a stupid, drunk and druggie. Being young sometimes let's that happen. The Bush Family sets itself up as the Royal Ones. Now facts are covered up, as Prescott Bush plotted to kill FDR, Daddy Bush stole oil rights from under Howard Hughes, GW the drunk had people killed to keep secrets and today the Bush Family is over their heads in crimes because they are truly stupid but rich. Now the Middle East Leaders are laughing all the way to the bank because they knew how to use the idiot Bush Family and it worked.
