BOSTON (AP) - Failed Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney may be heading to California.
A spokesman says the former Massachusetts governor has reached a deal to buy a home in La Jolla and will close on it this month.
California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger is term-limited and must leave office after 2010 but a spokesman for Romney says politics is not the reason Romney is buying in California.
The spokesman says Romney has family in the state - one son lives near San Diego - and his wife likes to ride horses here.
On a side note: Remember McCain's fundraiser in San Diego? Keep in mind that La Jolla is the same city in which anti-war protesters protested in front of the hotel of McCain's fundraising event.

Oldest trick in the book but it's a good move on Mitt's part. Move to California in hopes of being the VP for the California vote. McCain can't get a dime in California nor in Arizona so it's a Mitt trick. Now Mitt can say vote for me I'm one of you too. It's those electoral votes that's needed here. Mitt will go Hollywood soon and try to knock off Brad Pitt. What will these people do next.
