McCain’s: If The ‘Average American’ Thinks Ahmadinejad Is In Control Of Iran, Then So Do I.

Memo to Grampa: Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and Iran’s National Security Council set Iran’s foreign policy.

Thinkprogress:

Yesterday, Time’s Joe Klein pressed McCain on the issue, but McCain refused to concede he was wrong, saying he disagreed that Khamenei runs Iranian policy behind the scenes. McCain added that because the “average American” thinks Ahmadinejad is Iran’s leader, that’s good enough for him:
MCCAIN: I mean, the fact is [Ahmadinejad’s] the acknowledged leader of that country and you may disagree, but that’s a uh, that’s your right to do so, but I think if you asked any average American who the leader of Iran is, I think they’d know.

Well we're had an idiot as President for two terms who doesn't know anything about the Middle East looks like we'll get another on. A 5th grader know Ahmadinejad is an elected President of Iran. The Ruler is the Grand Ayatollah Ali Khamenei who runs the country. It's sad when a old black American woman knows more then the President of the United States. What's the qualifications to be President anyway. Do you have to be dumb as a door knob as Bush and McCain are?

Well, the qualifications for being a local politician in Illinois seems to be the lack of an ability to add and subtract.
