WATCH: Part two of the exclusive interview
Jeane's mom, for the first time, speaks about her daughter's mom. It is very touching and yet people will see another side of Jeane from her mother's perspective. She is angry about Jeane's conviction and yet sadden of her death. Couple of things that I picked up from Ms. Palfrey's interview:
1. Ms. Palfrey stated that Jeane's attorney, Preston Burton, interviewed the 15 women that were goverment witness. And all 15 women told Mr. Burton that they didn't do anything illegal while employed with Jeane. And she and Mr. Burton were surprised that all of the women were given immunity.
2. Ms. Palfrey talked about the visit of Postal Inspectors Troy Burrus and Maria Couvillion to her home questioned her abot Jeane. Jeane's mom was clever enough to pick up that they lie to her that they were given permission by Jeane's attorney to speak with Jeane's mom.
3. Ms. Palfrey said in the interview that the judge sealed off the names of the women because an unnamed escort threatened suicide.
I had released that information after Jeane's death to the JL readers. Here is the repost of Jeane's last email to me on April 18, 2008 at 1:27 pm:"Bil… for reasons which will become apparent later next week, I would like for you to make certain the following information is broadcast widely, on the net and elsewhere. Please use Jason, in particular to disseminate this news. The Government – at trial – wanted to publish the names of the remaining 120 to 130 women, as part of their and my ongoing humiliation (my opinion). However on Tuesday, just before the verdict was announced Judge Robertson called counsel into chambers. He informed them that he had received an anonymous letter from a former, unnamed escort, who stated she would commit suicide, if the names were released publicly. Based upon this info, Robertson summarily sealed the records, on all remaining escorts’ identities. –Jeane"
Rest assured, Jeane's mother is looking for answers to why her daughter and business were targeted.
