Anonymous Liberal: McCain is an arrogant a**h**e.

From Anonymous Liberal:

One of the many persistent myths about John McCain perpetuated by his fans in the media is the notion that he is somehow more "respectful" and "mature" than many of his Republican colleagues and therefore we can expect him to run a dignified and civil presidential campaign. The reality, however, is that since he secured the nomination, John McCain has consistently addressed his likely opponent, Barack Obama, in the most condescending, disrespectful, and downright hostile manner I've ever seen from a major party candidate. Consider this back and forth between the two campaigns today. First Obama:

I respect sen. John McCain's service to our country. He is one of those heroes of which I speak. But I can't understand why he would line up behind the President in his opposition to this GI bill.
I can't believe why he believes it is too generous to our veterans. I could not disagree with him and the President more on this issue. There are many issues that lend themselves to partisan posturing but giving our veterans the chance to go to college should not be one of them.

Then McCain:

It is typical, but no less offensive that Senator Obama uses the Senate floor to take cheap shots at an opponent and easy advantage of an issue he has less than zero understanding of. Let me say first in response to Senator Obama, running for President is different than serving as President. The office comes with responsibilities so serious that the occupant can't always take the politically easy route without hurting the country he is sworn to defend. Unlike Senator Obama, my admiration, respect and deep gratitude for America's veterans is something more than a convenient campaign pledge. I think I have earned the right to make that claim. . . . Perhaps, if Senator Obama would take the time and trouble to understand this issue he would learn to debate an honest disagreement respectfully. But, as he always does, he prefers impugning the motives of his opponent, and exploiting a thoughtful difference of opinion to advance his own ambitions. If that is how he would behave as President, the country would regret his election.

As dripping with condescension as that is, it's pretty mild in comparison to some of things McCain has said recently. The McCain campaign--and the candidate himself--have essentially decided that Barack Obama is entitled to zero respect. He is to be addressed at all times in the most dismissive and obnoxious manner possible and treated not as an equal, but as pretender and someone completely unworthy of basic civility. I'm not kidding. Find me any recent statement by McCain about Obama that is even remotely respectful. I'll save you some time. There aren't any. So can we please dispense with the notion that McCain is some kind of beacon of civility. He's made a conscious decision to treat his opponent with contempt and it's about time that journalists started to notice.

Fact the draft ended with the Vietnam War. If Obama had been drafted to service like John McCain said he should have he would be drafted at the age of 6 years old since Obama was born in 1961. As for McCain and his so called POW experience. Well he got better care and treatment because he told the enemy his Father was an Officer. As his fellow soldiers suffered McCain used the name dropping to take care of himself. No sooner had McCain come back to the US he dumped his wife and kids for a woman much young who brought him. As for the story of McCain's POW experience it just got bigger and bigger until the real story was lost. McCain will continue the Family Values we all should reach for. If the price is right you can be brought. Now McCain has the chance to buy his freedom from Cindy if he becomes President. With the up coming second Great Depression McCain get steal the taxpayers money, sale more of the United States and be a free man. Good news is no one will know he uses Fantasy sex businesses, now that's not illegal because there is no sex it's just fantasy. Some Law Makers were so afraid that information would come out the Judges/Prosecutors even set up fake charges to keep it quiet. It worked as in one case the fixed jurors decided a Rico/Racketeering case without even knowing what Law applies. Witnesses were threaten with jail if they didn't lie. Even a victim killed herself. All this to protect Three Powerful Law Makers who just had a little fun.
Good news is other illegal businesses like Jean Palfreys are still in the Yellow Pages of every State and doing very well. So these three can still be serviced.

McCain's a better man than either of you. How can you name your blog after mythical superheros and then denigrate a real life hero? You have no concept of honor or shame.

First off, thank you for stopping by the blog. Secondly, we all look forward to November 4 on who becomes the next President.

Finally, who is or isn't a superhero is irrevelant. The real heroes are not only the troops who sacrifice themselves for this country but it is the moms and dads and everyday folks who make a difference in people's lives today.

Anon McCain's experience as a POW was over 40 years ago along with several other soldiers who aren't milking their horror. We see thousands of hero's come home died who will never be able to live a life like McCain. Remember McCain voted to send our soldiers into Iraq knowing it was for oil not WMD's. Try talking to active soldiers and you'll hear first hand what they think of John McCain not much. He is using his POW status while forgetting he dumped his wife and kids for a young rich girl and never looked behind. Tell the McCain children from his first wife about their Father the hero who never spoke or cared about them until he needed them when he ran for President in 2000. Hero means more then being cocky and crashing your plan then using your Dad's Military title for special treatment while your fellow soldiers suffer. The soldiers who were with John McCain have already told the real story and it's not pretty on McCain's part. Our hero's today are the men/woman who followed the orders of an idiot Commandor-in-Chief who lied and only wanted control of Iraq oil and control of the land to help Israel attack Iran. Now that's what the US soldiers in Iraq say but of couse we can't believe them we must believe people like yourself who would never put on a uniform or go to Iraq. I know soldiers who died based on these lies and went to see them buried, how many grave sites have you and McCain attented. It would have been nice to see McCain tell the truth about Pat Tillman but he didn't he lied to the Family so they went else where for their answers.
