Have the chickens continued to come home to roost?

Rev. Jeremiah Wright told his congregation in a sermon on Sept. 16, 2001, "The Day of Jerusalem's Fall," that U.S. terrorism had precipitated Al-Qaeda's attack. "We bombed Hiroshima, we bombed Nagasaki, and we nuked far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon, and we never batted an eye. We have supported state terrorism against the Palestinians and black South Africans, and now we are indignant because the stuff we have done overseas is now brought right back to our own front yards." Wright concluded that "America's chickens are coming home to roost."

If people remembered the late Malcolm X's infamous comment on "chickens come home to roast." A blast from the past. In the Youtube video,Malcolm X explains his comments regarding the assassination of John F. Kennedy."If you stick a knife in my back nine inches and pull it out six inches, that's not progress. If you pull it all the way out, that's not progress. The progress comes from healing the wound that the blow made. They haven't even begun to pull the knife out. They won't even admit the knife is there.

Makes you wonder the chickens continue to come home to roost today.

I remember when Malcolm X said that to a reporter on TV. As usual the reporter tried to twist his words. But I asked my GrandMother what he meant because I didn't understand what he said. No matter what you do bad it comes back to you in the end. That statement could be used today. Our Government has done such evil things it will come back to us in the end. We have lied about Al Qaeda and now new terrorist groups have developed from our acts. Malcolm X and Dr. King were voices black Americans listen to even as both had different approaches to equal rights. Most old people use to say when you see a person have what's called bad luck it really is their pass sins coming back at them. Now if you live long enough you can see it for yourself.

Yes, but what about the ones who get away with it forever? Sigh...

Nobody gets away with anything forever.

The Chickens to come home to roost.

Today we call it Blowback,

I actually think Reverend Wright is Right On and am appalled that Barak Obama's handlers are demanding he distance himself from Wright. I'm thinking that's a big mistake.
