Curt Weldon transfers $70K to legal defense fund.

Oh, oh...

Thinkprogress:

The Crypt reports:

Former Rep. Curt Weldon (R-Pa.), under investigation by Justice Dept., transferred $70,000 from his campaign account to a legal defense fund, according to a filing on Tuesday with the Federal Election Commission.

The existence of a legal defense fund for Weldon, who was defeated in his bid for re-election in 2006 following disclosure of the DOJ probe, has not previously been reported. […]

Weldon has attracted Justice Dept. scrutiny on several fronts. Following media reports about Weldon’s interaction with his daughter’s lobbying firm, her house was raided by FBI agents in October 2006, just weeks before the election.

No surprise there this is common with the GOP. Money has been given out like candy to the Republican Party. As the Democrats just kick the can. For those who didn't see the movie cut the can. It is about old people ready to die, but by magic are turned into young kids again and all they do is play a game kick the can. Now I have never seen so many Democratic Law Makers fold under the criminal acts of the GOP. Now Nixon was impeached for crimes yet Bush/Cheney and Staff have not only committed crimes but Treason with the proof. Yet all the Democrat law makers do is nothing but talk. Case Law was set with Nixon and the Supreme Court. But the Democrats let the GOP attack and draw up impeachment articles for Clinton for having an affair. Now we see Treason isn't as bad as having an affair as far as the Democratic Law Makers are concerned. One might say their on the take too.
