Differcult week for KO to pick from McSame, Big Dick, and Blowhard Falafel King...But somebody has to win..
Crooks and Liars:
In classic cases of “Do what I say, not as I do,” Keith Olbermann presents Friday’s Worst Persons In The World.
First up is Republican nominee and media darling John McCain, who in an interview with Tavis Smiley, assured the host that he was interested in hearing the concerns of the African American community and would seek out their voices in places like “South Philadelphia” and the “black belt of Alabama.” Only problem is that there is a lower percentage of African Americans in South Philly than in Philadelphia in general. So maybe McSame wants to hear from the black community, just not too many of them?

Then there is the Vice President, Dick Cheney, who in his interview with BFF Sean Hannity, still plays fast and loose with the facts when he said:
For us to walk away from Iraq I think would have at least that bad an effect, probably worse, because if al Qaeda were to take over big parts of Iraq, among other things, they would acquire control of a significant oil resource. Iraq has almost 100 billion barrel reserves, producing 2.5-3 million barrels of oil a day. If you take a terrorist organization like al Qaeda and give it that kind of revenue, there’s no telling the amount of trouble they could get into.
That’s right, let’s keep pushing and mythologizing few hundred member AQI which only has a tenuous link to the larger al Qaeda group, NOT in Iraq and worry about their control over oil reserves. Meanwhile Saudi Arabia–with their own oil reserves and very real ties to al Qaeda–keeps funding the “insurgents” and that’s just hunky dory.
And finally, perennial winner Bill O’Reilly gets the gold again, for his over-the-top rant about the new 501c4/527 group headed by David Brock, organized to get information out about John McCain. According to Billo, that kind of campaign tactics are just “evil.”
But why is this “evil”? Because the same people who exposed Billo for the fraud he is, using only his own words, now have a Republican in their sites. When the reverse was done, and without the consideration for truth or fairness Brock will no doubt maintain with McCain, it was done by a group called the Swiftboat Veterans. And Bill O’Reilly was one of the Swiftboat Veterans’ prostitutes. In August of 2004 alone, O’Reilly devoted thirteen television segments and two weekly newspaper columns to the attacks on John Kerry. After the election, he had one of the unemployed members of the Swiftboat group on his show and pleaded for somebody to give the man a job. You claim to be a religious guy, Bill, does this ring a bell? “Be not deceived, God is not mocked. For whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”

Keith keeps BillO in the news if that didn't happen he'd be forgotten fast.
