Interesting... Now the Feds are keeping in jail the woman who was an informant to them that brought down Spitzer and whose passport expired. Makes you wonder why the Feds now don't want to deport her when they struck a deal with her to deport her to Brazil with $150 k in exchange to forfeit her money in her bank account and pricey Manhattan apartment. The question is why now?

The beer was chilled, and a special shrimp-and-fish stew was steaming, but Brazilian madam Andreia Schwartz was a no-show at her own party in central Brazil.
Schwartz, who was convicted of running a high-end midtown brothel in 2006, told her family she was being deported and would arrive Saturday. Instead, she's stuck in the Bergen County Jail in Hackensack, N.J., awaiting deportation.
A source close to Schwartz said she'd been told she would be deported and was packed and ready to leave. Then, the source said, authorities wanted to question her about disgraced Gov. Spitzer and another prostitution ring.
Vincent Parco, a private investigator working with Schwartz's lawyer, said two detectives from the Manhattan district attorney's office and a FBI agent tried to interview her.

Parco said Schwartz refused to talk to the investigators without speaking to her lawyer, Anthony Lombardino. Parco said Schwartz was not allowed to make the call, but another inmate notified them.
"It's a crazy thing," said younger brother Diego Leite, speaking in Portuguese from the family home in Brazil. "Andreia was supposed to arrive [Saturday], but she didn't."
For two days her family has been waiting, swarmed by press in the small Brazilian city of Ilha Velha.
Schwartz's mother, Elza Dias, said she got a tearful call from Andreia late Saturday. She said her daughter, who earlier spent 18 months on Rikers Island, told her she was not being let out.
