And Mukasey is right. He is the exact replica of Alberto Gonzales: Both never should have been AG from the get-go. Mukasey forgotten to re-read Condi Rice's testimony to the 9/11 commission committee about the PDB of the memo that said Bin Laden determined to attack the U.S. Let's me remind you what is the function of a National Security Adviser and Condi's past job:
The National Security Advisor is appointed by the President without confirmation by the United States Senate. As such, they are not connected to the bureaucratic politics of the Departments of State and Defense, and are therefore able to offer independent advice. The power and role of the National Security Advisor varies from administration to administration.
In times of crisis, the National Security Advisor operates from the White House Situation Room, updating the President on the latest events of a crisis.
And what in the hell did Condi do as National Security Adviser? The answer is nothing. That is why Cheney was involved in meetings in National Security with Rice since he served as White House Chief of Staff under Nixon and served as the Secretary of Defense from March 1989 to January 1993 under Daddy Bush. Bad acting and wrong example. Musk Rat is now in over his head. Even if people did follow closely the criminal acts of the DOJ in the pass 7 years you can see right trough the lies Musk Rat is telling. Once a respected Judge, Musk Rat has fallen under the same rep as Gonzo. This is what happens when a person sells his rep for money from the Dark Side. Many good people have caved in to Darth Cheney. But to use the 9/11 victims is going to low. Musk Rat acts like he has been overseas for 7 years and didn't know about Connie's lies to the 9/11 Commission. What's so sad is Musk Rat was right in New York and knew how and why the White House lied. Playing dumb and losing one's memory is getting old. That trick just doesn't work any more with most people.
I'll be really glad when we get an honest Attorney General. I had hope in the Senior Democrats stepping up but I see some have started to act like the Republicans. Yes some Dems are looking out for themselves and not the American people. What's really sad is to see a Senior Senator who is a lawyer fall so low as to help Republicans destroy the Rights of the People, let Bush appointees walk and play politics with the Constitution.
