McSame Makes Bush Wait.

Priceless..

THE WHITE HOUSE -- President Bush had rolled out the red carpet for John McCain, emerging onto the North Portico of the White House, where he usually meets foreign leaders, to greet the new Republican nominee.

Only, McCain wasn't there.

"So, anyway," Bush said to the assembled reporters, there to see him shake McCain's hand. "As I was saying..."

Still, no McCain.

Someone yelled a question.

"He's gonna win," Bush said, adding, "There will be ample time for questions."

He smiled a bit, but no McCain. He did a mock soft shoe dance. "I'm just going to tap dance a little," the leader of the free world said.

He looked around. Then he looked at his staff.

"Who should be his VP?"

"There will be ample time for questions," he said.

"There's ample time now," a reporter said.

Still no McCain.

"Let's start over," an amused Bush told the reporters, turning on his heels and heading back into the White House. "Pretend like it never happened."

A minute later, a small, black Cadillac entered through the gates, Bush reemerged, and out strode John McCain and his wife Cindy. Bush shook McCain's hand, gave Cindy a peck on the cheek, and the three
went into the White House for lunch.
