Dr. Spin: I'm Grendel.

Thinkprogress:

During his speech last night at George Washington University, Karl Rove was interrupted by a group of protesters who unfurled a banner reading “War Criminal.” The protesters were heckled by some in the audience. A couple of Rove supporters shouted “tase them” to the protesters.

Later on, a student asked Rove why some of his detractors believe he is a “fundamentally bad human being.” Rove joked, “First of all, the tail and the horns are retractable.” “I don’t know!

I’m a myth,” Rove explained. “I mean, I’m like Grendel of Beowulf; I’m not often seen but people talk about me a lot. I don’t know.”
I read Beowulf years ago in high school. For those not familiar to Beowulf, in the poem, Beowulf, a hero of the Geats, battles three antagonists: Grendel, who is attacking the Danish mead hall called Heorot and its inhabitants;
Tubby is more like Iago to Othello in the Shakesperian play.

You wish treasonous thug...don't flatter yourself, Rover.

The devil has more style...and unlike the devil, your life expectancy has an end time.

Well, Mick Jagger's version of the Devil certainly had a lot more style.

"Please allow me to introduce myself
I'm a man of wealth and taste
I've been around for a long, long year"

"Hope you guess my name"

"Just call me Lucifer"
