For all the talk about Spitzer being Eliot Ness I wondered who Ness really was that the public out cry by Spitzers actions.
Eliot Ness was married three times, the man got around. He was charged with DUI in 1942 but that's ok alot of people drink to much and drive.
Despite his professional accomplishments, Ness encountered personal problems. His commitment to law enforcement and long hours away from his home were largely responsible for two failed marriages. Ness also developed a drinking habit and enjoyed an active social life, often mingling with Cleveland's high society.
So the man who fought crime and became a hero was not all that clean in his private life. But it makes a better story not to tell the truth. So Spitzer might be still like Eliot Ness, but Rudy surely isn't anything like him. Ness wasn't a cross dresser but he did love the ladies.
