Bob Novak just said on Fox News that Condoleeza Rice might well be John McCain's running mate.
Is that to provide a hedge against both Obama and Hillary? Or another pundit's attempt to reduce the presidential contest to race and gender?
The problem is that too many people will realize whoever McCain picks as VP has a high chance of becoming president and I can't think of anyone who would say Condi Rice is equipped or qualified to be President. In fact, that's a very scary proposition.

As Obama and Girlfriday are both new bees and not experienced for the top job, it seems Americans don't mind. Now let the truth be known as Connie Rice served under both Bush Presidents and now holds one of the highest positions in the Administration weather she's qualified or not. Looking at resumes Connie does top Obama. To stick a black person in would control all this race card stuff. It could bring a win for McCain as Mrs. Obama said Blacks should vote for a Black President. Let the same be said for Connie as VP. If Americans are just looking at hope and change McCain/Rice ticket could take care of both. We can hope McCain starts working for Americans first, we can see change in having a Black Woman as VP. America would have John McCain's years of experience and Connie as representing woman/blacks. Something to think about.
Shug may have a better resume but incompetence and acting like a puppet aren't high on my list of other qualifications.
The Republicans picked Allen Keyes to run against Obama in Illinois just because he is Black even though there was a guy who came in second in the primary. That totally backfired.
I think Lickerman wants the job. He's going to feel dissed.
McCain if he wins the GOP nomination needs to distance himself with anything, and anyone in the Gerbil Adminstration, that alone would rule Condi out.The Cameleon, Liberman would be a bad choice, well because who knows which way he will be GOP, Democrat....who knows.
