Joe Six Pack to attend Republican convention?

Crooks and Liars:
There’s been some speculation, fueled by the candidate himself, that John McCain would consider Joe Lieberman as his running mate on the Republican ticket. Yesterday, Lieberman dismissed the talk — but raised eyebrows anyway by hinting at which convention he may attend.
“No, I’d tell him, ‘Thanks, John, I’ve been there, I’ve done that. You can find much better,’ ” Lieberman told the Associated Press. “I’m not seeking anything else.” The Connecticut independent, who had switched from the Democratic Party after losing the Democratic presidential primary in 2006, had fueled speculation by endorsing McCain in December and campaigning with him in New Hampshire, Michigan, South Carolina and Florida.
Lieberman also told the AP that his endorsement of McCain isn’t a step toward switching to the Republican Party. “I don’t have any intention of leaving the Democratic Party,” he said. “I want to be a senator.”
Still, he left open the door to attending the Republican convention if McCain wins the nomination. “I’d probably be more welcome there,” he said. (emphasis added)

If Joe Lieberman is not going to be McCain's running mate, I have a sneaking suspicion that Rudy might wannabe, McCain's Arizona, Rudy NYC. Guiliani's headed for California to stump for McCain, his "best friend" instead of heading back to New York?
I've been puzzled by his entire campaign, not to mention Tweety's enthusiasm for him even without a vision or concept. I'd like to thank you SP Biloxi for the article about the NYC firemen coming out against Rudy in force. If Guiliani does get the VP slot, it could really work against a McCain-Guiliani ticket. I guess we'll wait and see. No chance of Mitt being offered the Number 2 spot is there?

Well at lease those voters my Conn. now know they voted for a Republican. Joe has been in every party now. He lied to the Dems and Independants to get their vote while knowing he was a Republican. I wonder what the voters think of their Senator who used them and lied to get their vote. I guess Joe can go to the Green Party next.

I don't think McCain will be crazy enough to have Rudia as Veep, that would be the anchor to sink him.

Anon,

Thank you for the compliment. Yes, I am glad that the NYC firefighters locked arms to voice their opinion about Rudy. As far as Rudy-McCain ticket, all of the GOP candidate have so many different views and none of them of well connected. Notice that each GOP candidate has ego problems. The real question is that can the GOP candidates that are not the nominee for Prez take a back seat to being VP?
