Fox News reporter Bret Baier “was granted unprecedented access by George W. Bush” to put together a one hour documentary that reflects back on his presidency. The documentary will air this Sunday night.
Baier previewed his documentary — “George W. Bush: Fighting to the Finish” — on Fox News this afternoon. He said that what surprised him from the interview was the President’s repeated efforts to link himself to Abraham Lincoln:
We talked a lot about President Lincoln. And there’s going to be a lot of people out there who watch this hour and say, is he trying to equate himself with Lincoln?
I tell you what — he thinks about Lincoln and the tough times that he had during the Civil War. 600,000 dead.
The country essentially hated him when he was leaving office.
And the President reflects on that. This is a President who is really reflecting on his place in history.

Is he thinking about watching a play at Ford's Theater?
Note to NSA--It's just a joke. Go pick on the real terrorists, the oil companies that are robbing us blind, starting with Exxon, making record profits. I know I'm TERRIFIED every time I go to the gas station.
Have a nice day! :-)
Oh, and Barak Obama is closer to Lincoln than the Gerbil ever will be--almost no Washington, D.C. experience. Lincoln hadn't been there in ten years when he went there to be president. Lincoln lost a bunch of elections, though, sound familiar John Edwards?
Oh wait, if it was on Faux Noozzz, then the Lincoln quotes were probably not true for starters.
Bam!
Let's see Lincoln's policy
government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth
Bush policy government of dictatorship, greed, robbery and torture with lies. Only the rich have a voice and the American people get handouts.
Yes Kitty, that is why Illinois is so thrilled about Obama, and we have more people than ever that have registed to vote, in Illinois.
Yeah, Third, even the people under 25 are registering and voting like crazy. The grace voting got some of them going--they already voted when they registered.
That generation is the one that will be paying the most to mop up. If the folks under 25 could get registered *and* vote, some of the old guard in Chicago might get nervous. One can only hope.
