I found something rather interesting in Scooter Libby's notes for July 8, 2003 (here's the transcription of his chickenscratch). At the tail end of a conversation about the 9/11 Commission (which may have taken place at the White House's Senior Staff Meeting that morning), and at the beginning of more obsessive notes about Joe Wilson [on how these notes work, see the update below], Libby wrote:
9/11 Commission wants internal e-mails, mark-up drafts of President's speech, materials for President's discussions with Blair, etc.

And the commission convened on November 26, 2002 (441 days after the attack) and their final report was issued on July 22, 2004.
Interesting piece of info by Emptywheel. It makes me wonder if any the internal emails of Bush's speech and any emails between Bush and Blair disappeared...

Look the Commission was another set up like the Warren Commission. They are all loyal Republicans who will lie and cover up the crimes of the Party. The days give it away and Kean knew what was going on. Bush/Cheney set up the Commission to keep the victims Family from got off. We will see and hear more as Bush leaves office. In short the 9/11 Commission was a joke in the face of Justice. These old guys will die asking for forgiveness I say telling it walking and talk to the hand.
