Waxman: White House is Blocking Fitzgerald's Cooperation in Plame Probe.

Is the White House obstructing justice on the Plame case by not allowing Fitzgerald to provide evidence to Congress? It seems more like it. Chairman of the Oversight and Government Reform Committee Henry Waxman wrote on his website on December 3, 2007:

"White House objections are preventing Special Counsel Patrick Fitzgerald from providing the Oversight Committee with records from interviews of White House officials taken during his investigation into the leak of covert CIA agent Valerie Plame Wilson's identity."

At lease this keeps Fitz in the job and they wont fire him. As long as he's employed by the DOJ he is under that control. I noticed there's a mission to destroy Fitz's good name and reputation in Chicago. With the cases he's dealing with it makes since. As most of the officials under investigation would love to have the public think of Fitz as a liar it would help this case.

Chicago's politicians have every reason to be truly paranoid.

They're NAUGHTY!

P.S. If/when the feds come to clean house on Cook County Board President Todd Stroger, watch him play the race card.

The last time I checked, there is equal opportunity in becoming an incompetent jerk who hires Friends and Family.

Oh, I know that kittybowtie. A caveman can see that. Like I said, the oldest trick in the book and same tired ass excuse: "You are blaming me because I am a black man" blah, blah, blah... Not taking personal responsibility as the CC President.

Jackie,

Fitz can't be fired. His term as USA is up. The new AG or DAG (whoever is appointed) have a right to not reappoint Fitz back to his job. So, it is not fired. It just not a reappointed position. And it will be sad if he is not reappointed as USA in Chicago. I believe the USA firing scandal really saved him and shield him from being fired.
