Vick Gets 23 Months for Dogfighting.

Another person sentenced today. And I think that the judge was fair and at the same time harsh on Vick. I hope that Michael Vick will rethink what he has done to those dogs while he is prison. And I believe that he will be better person in humanity when he gets out of prison. Dogs may be animals but to others, dogs are treated like children to pet lovers.
RICHMOND, Va. - Michael Vick was sentenced to 23 months in prison Monday for running a "cruel and inhumane" dogfighting ring and lying about it.The suspended Atlanta Falcons quarterback could have been sentenced up to five years by U.S. District Judge Henry E. Hudson. Vick, who turned himself in Nov. 19 in anticipation of his sentence, was wearing a black-and-white striped prison suit.
After Vick apologized to the court and his family, Hudson told him: "You need to apologize to the millions of young people who looked up to you."

Yes, sir," Vick answered. The 27-year-old player acknowledged using "poor judgment" and added, "I'm willing to deal with the consequences and accept responsibility for my actions."Although there is no parole in the federal system, rules governing time off for good behavior could reduce Vick's prison stay by about three months, resulting in a summer 2009 release.

He did the crime so do the time. Now I know people are going to say he's used as the example but he knew that when he was born. Notice the DOJ cases around the US and it's common knowledge that Blacks get full sentences as others get a slap on the hand. Life's lessons are stay clean and if you do become rich and famous remember you first black and that always counts first. OJ case was the example of how things are in America. He won because he was famous and rich but he'll always be guilty because he's black. I often said even if God told the American people OJ didn't kill his wife, people would still believe he's guilty.
