TGIF bailout; John "Minorities Die First" Tanner hits the streets.

In an e-mail this morning to employees of voting section in the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division, controversial section chief John Tanner “resigned from his position effective immediately.” Tanner will be taking a job with the Office of Special Counsel for Immigration-Related Unfair Employment Practices. Tanner, who was lambasted by Congress in October, was under investigation by the Department’s Office of Professional Responsibility due to his travel habits.
