South Korean construction and engineering firm Daelim Industrial Company has clinched a record $960 million order from a Saudi Arabian chemical company to build a polymer production plant, WAM news agency reported Monday.

The plant, to be built in Al-Jubail, an industrial complex 600 km east of the Saudi Arabian capital Riyadh, will have an annual capacity of 550,000 tonnes, Daelim Industrial said in a statement Sunday.

It would take 40 months to complete the plant, it said.

With the latest deal, Daelim has obtained contracts worth more than $3 billion for building plants in the Al-Jubail industrial complex, a company official said.

Nice to see South Korea getting great deals as the US just used them. Now let's see North Korea state getting into making deals to build their economy. The Saudis have turned their backs on the US, I guess the Gerbil kissing the Saudi Kings ring wasn't enough or was it all a trick. Peaches was in South Korea and I spoke to her Host family and they are very nice people, so I'm happy for their country's success.

Smart Koreans, polymers need carbon to be made, as in.......found in oil, oil byproducts, etc....excellent place to put up polymer production. It is a win/win relationship for both. Production plants...not in the US but everywhere else, and a complex of them going up.
