BLT:
Senators in the Judiciary Committee will get a chance to see candidates for various Justice Department positions up close in the next few days.
On Wednesday, the senators will consider the nomination of Chicago federal judge Mark Filip to become the next deputy attorney general. His hearing will be at 10 a.m. in Room 226 of the Dirksen office building.
Filip's nomination has been much anticipated because, if confirmed, he would fill the powerful No. 2 position in a year that saw the department's leadership collapse.
The same committee will also hear tomorrow from the following candidates for Justice Department appointments at 10 a.m. in the same Dirksen building room:
Nathan Hochman, for assistant attorney general of the Tax Division.
David Hagy, for director of the National Institute of Justice.
Cynthia Dyer, for director of the Violence Against Women Office.
Ondray T. Harris, for the position of director of the Community Relations Service.
In addition, the committee also has scheduled to take up the nomination tomorrow of Scott M. Burns to be deputy director of White House Office of National Drug Control Policy.

I emailed Senator Leahy to make sure he aware that Mark is a snake and would lie about anything. Mark would most likely push Mikie out of the top spot if he gets the job. Mark has worked hard covering up for the crimes of the White House and is a real loyal Bushie.
