TEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- Iran signed a contract with Russia Tuesday night on the purchase of an advanced missile system called S-300, Iranian Defense Minister Mostafa Mohammad Najjar said here on Wednesday.
Najjar dismissed any link between the said contract and the recent report by 16 US intelligence bodies which confirmed the peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear activities, adding that the date of S-300 delivery would be revealed to public later in future. S-300 is considered as among the most advanced anti-missile systems in the world capable of targeting various types of missiles and warplanes at different altitudes. Despite Tour-M which can identify and trace targets merely at low altitudes, S-300 enjoys the required capabilities to trace and destroy targets at low and high altitudes, granting Iran air superiority over enemy missiles and aircrafts.

The White House knows not to mess with the most Powerful good looking President in the World. Now Cheney can get mad and shot somebody but even he knows not to mess with President Putin.
Putin is making money for his country. If every country had a defense system like this, I bet we'd have a lot fewer wars. Where's Teddy Roosevelt when you need him? "Walk softly but carry a BIG STICK." The Gerbil has done everything in other countries except walking softly.
Is this administration still itching to bomb Iran? Looks like Iran will be prepared. The S-300 can trace and obliviate low and high flying objects, yes I would say a very advanced missle.
