Palfrey Update #35 - Judge Quashes Jeane's Subpoena of White House.

Judge Robertson Temporarily Quashes Jeane's Subpoena of White House Records

Criminal attorney Montgomery Sibley wrote:

Greetings:

At the status conference before Judge Robertson today, the Judge entered several orders.

First, the hearing on Jeane's suppression motion has been moved up to Monday, January 28, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in Courtroom 23A. The trial of this matter remains scheduled to commence on April 7, 2008.

Second, Judge Roberston order the government to permit Jeane to view the original documents seized from her home on October 4, 2006, for the first time since the seizure. This viewing will allow Jeane to identify with certainty most all of the 130 escorts that worked for her during the 13 year operation of the escort service.

Last, and most important, the newly-appointed Judge temporarily quashed the subpoenas returnable on December 15, 2007, that Judge Kessler had authorized and previously ordered the U.S. Marshal's service to serve upon various federal intelligence agencies, law enforcement agencies and other individuals. This temporary quashing will allow Judge Robertson to reconsider Judge Kessler's order permitting these subpoenas. Additionally, Judge Roberston temporarily quashed a trial subpoena issued for the White House to produce records relevant to the prosecution of Jeane.

The jurors in this case will have more questions then answers. If a defendant isn't allowed to present a case because of the Judge the jurors have only one side. Remember your to Judge the facts by the defense and prosecution. Libby willingly gave no defense so all the jurors had was the prosecutions case. In this case the accusers have to face the defendant and that will say alot to the jurors. Looks like Dick Cheney messed up again as he picks what cases to bring to court.

Prissy,

Palfrey's attorney wanted certain documents from the WH in relation to Ms. Palfrey's case being selective prosecution. Of, course, the WH said no. I suspected that would happen because the WH is shielding any persons that is seeking info in a case or scandal. It's called the stall tactic. It is a disappointment for Ms. Palfrey and her attorney Montgomery Sibley. But, we all know the WH is shrouded with secrecy and cover-up. Certainly Fitzgerald can relate. He is not allowed to give any FBI info of the Plame case to Waxman. This is from the orders of the WH.
