Newsinkling: Scooter Libby drops appeal for his conviction.

This week, former White House top aide Scooter Libby dropped his appeal in the CIA leak case. Special Counsel Patrick Fitzgerald and his spokesperson Randall Samborn had no comment. But, Fitzgerald had said after Libby’s verdict that “he will be keeping the investigation ‘open to consider other matters.’” And Fitzgerald said, "the substantial bulk of the work in this investigation is concluded.” Read more...

For those of us who followed the Libby case we know Pat said his part was over in this matter, but the investigation was complete because of the stone walling done by the White House. Pat left us with a closing statement that rings still today. There is a cloud over Dick Cheney, now for this who know law a cloud means the fat lady hasn't sang yet.
