TEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- Iran closed its border with Pakistan on Saturday in view of the uncertainty in Pakistan.
According to sources, the Iranian authorities informed Pakistani border officials about the closure of the border with Pakistan for an indefinite period.
Sources said the Iranian government had taken the decision after unrest in Panjgur, Turbat, Gwadar, Mand and Taftan areas of Balochistan.
"Yes, Iran has closed its border with Pakistan," a Pakistani official said on conditions of anonymity.

Yes smart move to bad we don't have a smart President. Look at the mess Bush/Cheney have created. Giving Nukes to Pakistan now might prove to be the Bush Administration's biggest mistake.
The people in Iran aren't stupid. They just have a blow hard as president who knows how to get attention.
Oh, I think Pakistan had nukes long before Bush / Cheney, as in Reagan or Daddy Bush armed them. I think that goes all the way back to the Soviets giving nukes to India. The U.S. used that thing of the enemy (Pakistan) of my enemy (Soviets/India) is my friend. Whomever did it picked the wrong damn friend. India has some great people. Up until now, India hasn't held anything against us and they've given us our doctors, engineers, and cheap help desk people at Dell. If I was an Indian living in Kashmir or Punjab and Pakistan loses it, I'd be getting the hell out of there. I'd bet money there are millions of nervous people in north India right now.

When the Iran President tried to show respect to the 9/11 victims he was told get out. When he was invited to speak at Columbia U. he was treated with total disrespect.
This showed the World how Americans treat a World Leader even if you don't agree with him.
George W. Bush is visiting Israel and Palestinian yet he refuses to lay a flowers as respect on the grave of Yasser Arafat. This is a true example of NO CLASS shown by a US President. After years of educated Presidents working with World Leaders even those we didn't like only to see this idiot show is ass.
I don't agree with everything the President of Iran says but I learned that this is a World of different cultures and beliefs and to have peace you must first show RESPECT. That's been lost in this country as we see the results. When Kennedy met with the Russian President against the advice of every Law Maker and the American people it showed Kennedy was right.
He stopped a Nuclear War, by sitting down and talking about how we all lose. Hate breads hate and ignorance breads ignorance.
