For the first time since they began indicting members of Gov. Rod Blagojevich's inner circle, federal prosecutors alleged Friday that a witness says the governor intimated he had no problem exchanging contracts and government perks for campaign contributions.

Quoting lawyer Joseph Cari, prosecutors alleged Blagojevich "asked about Cari's fund-raising experience. (Blagojevich) stated he had a lot of ways of helping his friends and that (Blagojevich fundraisers Antoin) Rezko and (Chris Kelly) were his point people in helping his friends and coordinating fundraising. (Blagojevich) also informed Cari that he could award contracts, legal work, and investment banking to help with fund-raising."
The allegations were made in a document known as a "Santiago Proffer" filed in advance of Rezko's February trial on corruption charges. While prosecutors did not refer to Blagojevich or Kelly by name, they referred to them by letter, and sources have confirmed to the Daily Herald the letters refer to Blagojevich and Kelly.
Cari has already pleaded guilty to trying to extort money from an investment firm trying to do business with the state and is cooperating with prosecutors.

Now G-Rod, Lisa Lisa and Lisa's Daddy will be making alot of calls over the holidays to try and stop the Fitz train. Yes all roads point to G-Rod but with the kind of money he's stealing he wont go down alone. The question for those reading this article is how do you stop the Fitz team or will this be another Officials who will resign?
Now with all the corruption of the top Elected Officials and open criminals in Illinois plus the debt this State is in. What are Senator Obama and Durbin doing for the people they represent? I know Obama is busy running for President and can't find the time to vote for issuers to help his State.

Did that make sense the way I wrote it? The cat smells a big rat somewhere in the mess with the marshall 'allegedly' on the take from the mobsters. I wonder if something else is going on besides that guy just trying to save his own butt. Put out the cheese, let's see if there is another rat in there somewhere.
Oh, and Lisa Lisa and her Daddy are on the other side of the Democrats. That would be Emil Jones who is the buddy of G-Rod. The rumor is Daddy and Lisa eventually want her to replace G-Rod. Daddy goes to a lot of trouble to make G-Rod look as stupid as he really is.

Here are my thoughts: Something smells rotten in Denmark in the Fitz/U.S. Marshal saga. That is defintely a setup and a payoff to the U.S. Marshall and others. Fitz is certainly not loved by the corrupted lawmakers and officals in Chicago.
As far as G-Rod, Fitz is very close to indcting that nimrod Governor. I heard a lot about Lisa Madigan. And she has worked with Fitz in a couple of cases. Fitz basically makes her look good in her State Attorney General position IMHO. And so Daddy wants Lisa to replace G-Rod??? Interesting..
SPB and Mr. Kitty you might have more problems with Lisa Lisa as Governor as you do with G-Rod. Now Lisa Lisa and her Daddy are on the list for investigation of illegal campaign fundraising. What's with Illinois as you get rid of one crook you elect another one. Lisa Lisa is up to her neck in crime and is using Fitz to shield her from the crimes she has committed and is continuing to do. At some point Fitz will have to bring his boss the famous unqualified Lisa Lisa Cult Jam to Justice. Once we get an honest AG who brings back Lady Justice Lisa Lisa and Daddy will be moving overseas real quick.
I don't like the who lot of them: G-Rod, Lisa Lisa, Daddy, and Emil (backpocket of the electric company Jones). The only decent Democrat in the state that I know of is Pat Quinn, the Lt. Gov. BUT, he is forever going to be associated with his boss, so he probably doesn't have a chance. Maybe there is some decent state senator from a place far, far away from Chicago who could run. There was a guy who ran a while back who looked like Dick Van Dyke. He wasn't that great then and I think he's too old by now.
Glen Poshard--now I remember the guy who looks like Dick Van Dyke's name who ran for governor against Orange Jumpsuit Ryan years ago. He's now the president of Southern Illinois University and some people accused him of plagiarizing his master's thesis and his doctorate dissertation from decades ago. No punishments came of the accusations and the investigation.
Illinois state produced Paul Simon. There can be decent politicians in Illinois.
Oops, I didn't finish. Once in a while there are decent people in politics. I sure hope one can be found to be the next governor.
