Bush: Who me? Do I know anything about the torture tapes??

Thinkprogress:

In an interview with ABC News, President Bush asserted that he first learned about the CIA’s destruction of the torture tapes when Director Michael Hayden briefed him last Thursday:
“My first recollection of whether the tapes existed or whether they were destroyed was when [CIA Director] Michael Hayden briefed me,” Bush said.
“There’s a preliminary inquiry going on and I think you’ll find that a lot more data, facts will be coming out,” he said, “that’s good. It will be interesting to know what the true facts are.”

Now it could be possible that Bush didn't know. He isn't in charge so why would they tell him anything. Cheney is in charge and the questions should be asked to him. The tapes were ordered to be destroyed by the real President Dick Cheney. The bottom line is the USA is no better then the other countries that torture. Now I'm going to look at were waterboarding started.

I don't know why the press is even asking him, he only knows what his handlers feed him (and it's obvious he has less handlers, and they don't spend a lot of time with him)Biloxi has it right, we have a Supreme Leader in this country, and that's who should be answering the questions.

The Gerbil is just a propped up President doll. I'm with you, Chicago Native. The media should be asking President Cheney for answers.
