It became certain that the parliamentary session scheduled for December 7 for electing the president will be delayed until the next week of the same month. The Lebanese press talked today about these atmospheres while some papers said next Wednesday is the deadline for achieving this. But the political contests erupted yesterday and each side held the other responsible for the obstruction, and this has pushed a former president to say that the issue returned to the zero point.

The speech that the US president George Bush delivered yesterday was considered by observers as a declaration that the report of the 16 US intelligence agencies on Iran is not enough to stop escalation against Iran.

A number of US officials talked about Washington’s fear from the Russian and Chinese support for Iran after the intelligence report said that Iran stopped its nuclear military project since 2003.
