Timmy Russert misleadingly cropped Obama comment to claim he wasn't "firmly wedded against the war."

Summary: Interviewing Barack Obama on Meet the Press, Tim Russert read a quote he attributed to Obama to suggest that he has "not been a leader against the [Iraq] war": "In July of 2004, Barack Obama: 'I'm not privy to Senate intelligence reports. ... What would I have done? I don't know,' in terms of how you would have voted on the war." Russert did not quote the very next sentence of Obama's statement, which was, "What I know is that from my vantage point the case was not made" for authorizing the war.

I only caught the last part of that. Hmmm, Timmy was naughty.

No Mr. Kitty Timmy really worked hard with Senator Obama but treated Thompson like fluff. Most of the GOP candidates on his show he handles with kid gloves and I look forward to him attacking Hillary on everything from Bill to me and my comments. Tim is an insider who the White House used to try and get Libby off. Yes Timmy didn't know about the lies Libby was saying but he still works for the White House news station and gets that extra check to lie for them. So it's all about the money with Timmy and they can use him all they want to. Chris Matthews is so deep in it he will kiss Bush/Cheney shoes and say what else can he do.

Hillary better bring her boxing gloves with her if she goes on Timmy's show because he will do his best to spin/blame/lie in hopes of her losing her chances of being President.
