Military demanding bonus pay back from wounded vets.

Heckava job, Georgie, to support our troops!!!

Thinkprogress:

“The U.S. Military is demanding that thousands of wounded service personnel give back signing bonuses because they are unable to serve out their commitments.” Jordan Fox of Pittsburgh was injured by a roadside bomb in Iraq, cutting his service short by three months. “A few days ago, he received a letter from the military demanding nearly $3,000 of his signing bonus back.”

Last month, Rep. Jason Altmire (D-PA)
proposed legislation that would guarantee that wounded vets receive their full signing bonuses. Steve Benen has more.

Bush/Cheney could care less about the injured troops. The money is needed for friends and contractors. Yes propaganda is expensive and so is paying off people. The troops don't need anything because Bush/Cheney don't think of them as human just numbers. Don't look for the American voters to say a word or the paid Law Makers who follow the orders of the Dictator Gerbil.
