Jordan, Saudi Arabia urge Israel to take 'serious' steps.

Amman - The leaders of Jordan and Saudi Arabia Sunday urged Israel to take "serious steps" towards ending the Arab-Israeli conflict so that the upcoming Middle East conference at Annapolis, Maryland, can be a success. The remarks came during consultations which Jordan's King Abdullah II held with King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia during a brief visit to Riyadh, a Jordanian royal court statement said.

"They also asserted that any settlement for the Arab-Israeli conflict with a view to bringing about just and comprehensive peace should be based on the international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab peace initiative," the statement said.

The two pro-US monarchs urged the inclusion of core issues - Jerusalem, refugees, settlements and frontiers - on the agenda of the Annapolis meeting which is due to open on Tuesday.

The two countries along with other 14 Arab countries have announced a collective plan to attend the conference.

14 Arab countries, that's quite a few. Hopefully the Gerbil will have had a lot of work with his handlers so he can seem some was intelligent and intelligible.

Duct tape would work to keep that mess intelligent. Sometimes, it's just better to keep one's stupid mouth shut.

Let's see who's in charge of this Summit. George W. Bush is in charge then you know it will fail. These guys know Bush better then we do and will play him like a piano. Connie will get confused and up set. These guys will talk their way to the meal and leave still talking but getting nothing done. Now you notice no one word about all these Middle Eastern Leaders some good some bad with their team and not a word out of Homeland Security.
