Clown ally defeated in Australian elections.

Crooks and Liars:
Conservative Australian Prime Minister John Howard, who has been “one of President Bush’s staunchest allies,” suffered “a humiliating defeat” in national elections Saturday when the oppositional Labor Party wrested majority control of parliament away from Howard’s coalition by a 53% to 46.7% margin. Labor Party head Kevin Rudd, who is likely to replace Howard as prime minister, “has promised to immediately sign the Kyoto Protocol on global warming and withdraw Australia’s combat troops from Iraq.”
UPDATE: At Climate Progress, Joe Romm explains how Howard’s climate change denial played into his defeat.

John Howard had a chance to make history by being elected 5 times. Then along came George W. Bush and Howard took the 30 pieces of silver from Satan. Now the world sees the results of making friends and sucking up to Satan's employees Bush/Cheney. Now we'll see others who will lose because they were friends with Satan's workers. I remember last year as John Howard was ahead in the voting as the economy was good. But then Bush came to visit and it's been down hill for John Brown since then. Yesterday was the finial nail to end Howard's career. Now I hope he was paid alot of US dollars by Bush/Cheney because he will need it.

Two thumbs up for the new President Kevin Rudd and the only advice I could give is stay far away from George W. Bush. If Bush calls have someone say your not home and change your phone number.
