I am in Washington DC this weekend, attending training for my new job representing Veterans and military families.
I met a Staff Sgt career vet and his wife (we clicked right away, she has criminal justice degree also;) He was injured on his 2nd and 3rd tour-now looking at med retirement. They were age mid 30's. He had the opportunity to tell Bush off-TO HIS FACE! It was a riot! He was still in a wheelchair at Walter Reed (back surgery, much better, walking now) and was told to go downstairs, then to stand up for Bush. He said no, I'm going back to my room before I'll stand up for that man. So he did. He shared a room with a Marine. So Bush comes up to his room.
He said Bush got to the door way and Sgt said (he's a African American man with booming voice) "Get the fuck outta here." Bush looked like "what did he just say?" He goes on "You heard me, get the fuck outta here-we don't like no bitch's around here." Bush looks at the Marine-Marine says "that's right, we don't like no bitch's around here." Bush left.
Needless to say I thanked him for ALL of his service!! What a great moment in history that shouldn't go untold!

Wow now I know the Gerbil had alot to drink after hearing that. I called Peaches and I think she's still laughing. She said things are really bad now and that's why everyone is speaking up. She said the Marine went light on the Gerbil and he could have said much worse. I agree with SPB I just would have loved to see the look on his face. Others say that behind his back now their saying it to his face. The White House is right to keep this out of the Media as the World Leaders would have something else to laugh at.
The White house keeps a lot out of the media. This is just an example of how well the War on Terror is going. cough,cough
