Restless Leg Syndrome Craig: Reporters made me plead guilty

Good luck Craig trying to get out of this one...

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Sen. Larry Craig, R-Idaho, mistakenly pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct because he was under stress from a newspaper investigation into claims that he is gay, Craig's attorney said Monday.

Craig, who has strongly denied that he is gay, filed court papers Monday to withdraw his guilty plea after his June arrest at a restroom at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, according to the Hennepin County, Minnesota, District Court.

Craig "had just gone under a tremendous interview with the Idaho Statesman [newspaper] where he was under investigation for being gay," Craig's attorney Billy Martin told CNN. "They were walking around Washington and other cities with photographs at gay bars that were embarrassing him."

The arresting officer alleged that Craig made sexual advances to him in the men's room.

Martin said Craig pleaded guilty after suffering "pressure" and "stress" from the Statesman interview and was panicked "from what this could do."

Let's see how this plays out. Now if Craig gets his guilty withdrawn the GOP will have big problems. If Craig's sentence is stayed then he will resign and all Dems will use the big three in campaign ads.

Republican Religious, Family Values and Morals to follow as shown by the following:

VITTER, CRAIG AND FINGERS FOLEY
