<--This is from the HJC from the 3/9/07 DOJ dump docs. Taylor's name was on the list for vacant spot replacement in 2006. http://judiciary.house.gov/media/pdfs/DOJDocsPt1-9070319.pdf

InterimUSA Jeffrey Taylor is presiding over Ms. Palfrey's case. I decided to examine attorney Jeff Taylor and the timing of his current position.
Here are some facts:
Jeffrey A. Taylor was appointed interim U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia by Gonzo on September 22, 2006. He was sworn in and took office on September 29, 2006. And notice it was 7 days? Here is the background of Jeffrey Taylor:
From 1999 to 2002, Taylor served as majority counsel on the Senate Judiciary Committee where he advised Chairman Orrin Hatch and drafted provisions of the USA PATRIOT Act.
Before his appointment as U.S. Attorney, Mr. Taylor served as Counselor to Ashcroft and Gonzo from 2002 to 2006 where he oversaw law enforcement operations by U.S. attorneys. He was appointed interim U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia by Gonzo on September 22, 2006 and was sworn in seven days later; interim U.S. attorneys do not need to be confirmed by the Senate. Interim U.S. attorneys have no term limit, as a result of an amendment to the law governing interim attorneys included in the USA Patriot Reauthorization Act of 2005; formerly interim appointees had a 120-day term limit, and could be re-appointed (without term limit) at the end of the 120-day term by the chief judge of the district court. See here.
Now, Ken Wainstein was the US Attorney for the District of Columbia prior to Jeffrey Taylor. What's the story on Ken Wainstein?:
Kenneth L. Wainstein, of Virginia, was nominated March 13, 2006, by Bush to be an Assistant Attorney General and upon appointment, designate him as Assistant Attorney General for National Security. Wainstein's nomination was sent to the U.S. Senate for confirmation on March 13, 2006. And how long Wainstein has been USA?:
He was in office only six months before becoming the first Assistant Attorney General for the new National Security Division at the Justice Department.
Wainstein's background:
Wainstein was confirmed on October 7th, 2005 to be the United States Attorney for the District of Columbia. He served as the Interim United States Attorney prior to his confirmation. Prior to his appointment as Interim United States Attorney in May of 2004, Mr. Wainstein served at FBI Headquarters. He was Chief of Staff to Director Robert S. Mueller, III, from March 2003 to May 2004 and General Counsel of the FBI from July 2002 to March 2003. From August 2001 to July 2002, he served as Director of the Justice Department's Executive Office for U.S. Attorneys, where he provided oversight and support to the 94 United States Attorneys' Offices around the country. Ken was the Interim U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia between April and August of 2001.
Now Weinstein resigned as USA on either September 27 or 28 2006, amd Taylor was sworn in as interim USA on September 29, 2006. What is interesting is Taylor was sworn in September 29, 2006 as the interim USA and in October 2006 was when Ms. Palfrey's home was raided. Just some food for thought.

Good investigation work SPB just follow the trail and the names connect to see the results. Looks like the White House planted the criminal team to handle the cases that Cheney wanted to find guilty for nothing. This might help the firing of the lawyers case.
Not a bad move but how many other appointments were done to do crimes. Where Judges appointed on the bench to make sure the GOP criminal cases would be dismissed and the fake cases against Dems could be found guilty.
This looks good for Miss Palfrey as she looks to be set up by none other then Darth Cheney.
Somehow, yesterday I missed the story about the freak who wanted to have sex with a five-year old.
What a total freak is just not even close to being accurate to describe that guy.
That story made me lose my appetite, which is rare for the cat.
Glad your back Mr. Kitty I always enjoy your company. This case is starting to get heated up, now with the names coming to light and the connections of how the White House set out to appoint lawyers with one job as planned.
