Palfrey Update #23 - Jeane seeks subpoenas for Heidi Fleiss and NYPost's Cindy Adams.

Here is the latest from Ms. Palfrey's civil attorney Montgomery Sibley:

Greetings:

Docketed today was Jeane's First Omnibus Motion. This motion seeks twelve (12) separate orders from the Court and during the next few days I will be explaining the salient points of each.

Along with the "
Honey Pot" defense discussed yesterday in Update #22, Jeane is also raising a defense of Outrageous Government Conduct by the I.R.S., Postal Service and Department of Justice employees. Jeane's claim in the motion is that these government agent's behavior was "shocking to the universal sense of justice." The facts supporting that claim are three fold and fully set out in the First Omnibus Motion, but can be summarized as follows:

• The improper disclosure of privileged settlement negotiations to the Court by the Assistant United States Attorneys;

• The late-night visit to Jeane's seventy-five (75) year old widowed mother which Jeane claims was a patent attempt at intimidation. Moreover, Jeane expects to establish that the intimidation of defendant's parents is a pattern and practice of the government whenever defendants act uppity and aggressively assert their rights, particularly in misogynist-motivated prosecutions of women such as
Heidi Fleiss, Jody Williams, Robin Head and other so-called "Madams". Jeane expects to produce the testimony of Heidi, Jody, Robin and other accused "Madams" to support her claim of Outrageous Government Conduct in this regard; and

• The utilization of media outlets to disseminate or spin misleading information about Jeane. In particular this includes Cindy Adams of the New York Post and William Bastone of the SmokingGun.com who both received information which was not publicly available and, in the case of Cindy Adams, under Court seal.
