Attorney General Alberto Gonzales submitted his resignation to President Bush on Friday, at which time the President invited him and his wife, Rebecca, to lunch at Crawford over the weekend to talk about the matter further. A picture from the Sunday lunch.
Oldest trick in the book: Boss calls and invites you over for lunch or dinner and lets you woof down the last chicken wing before he slides the pink slip to you on the table. Gonzo should have let Bush's call go to voicemail... And notice that it says that Gonzo submitted hisresignation on Friday August 24, 2007 when his resignation letter was dated August 26, 2007.

It was just a matter of time. This is really bad for this administration, having so many bail in such short amount of time. Of course it is bad for this administration that so much questionable activity, ...if they can remember..went on.
The French President got hamburgers and hot dogs, Gonzo's last supper was a good one. There is more to this firing then we know. Gonzo is just in time for the fruit picking season. The GOP doesn't need him anymore for the Spanish vote as he's out. Daddy Bush told baby Bush get rid of the fruit picker we don't need him anymore. Teresa Gonzales can now be arrested for selling drugs without the protection of her brother Gonzo. Career drug dealer Teresa Gonzales had a good run as she wasn't allowed to be arrested for crimes. Don't look for Mexico to want Gonzo back. Without the money Mrs. Gonzo might look else where for a real man.
Maybe if we make a copy of that photo on a transparent sheet, flip it over and put it back on the original, (like was just done with the Last Super by da Vinci) we would see the Constitution cut up in little bite sized pieces on their plates. Oh yes, and Cheney working Bush like a puppet from under the table.
Right. I actually checked my calendar when I heard Gonzo resigned. I thought, hey, is it Monday or Friday? Friday is D.C. Resignation Day.

"Friday is D.C. Resignation Day." Actually, Friday was Gonzo's last day bt of course, the Gerbil didn't want the public and media to know.
