I don't think so.. Notice that the date of Gonzo's resignation letter was August 26, 2007, Sunday!
From the WSJ:
Attorney General Alberto Gonzales’s resignation came on Friday in a phone call with President Bush, and the two had lunch together at Bush’s Crawford ranch on Sunday, along with Gonzales’s wife.

Gonzo is gone but he will still have legal problems. I wonder what Judge Walton is thinking about with the Seal vs Seal case most chose to have forgotten about. Bush will never get one of his criminal friends passed for Attorney General. We will see only a acting person until Bush is gone. I noticed on some blogs people are calling for Fitz to be AG. I think not. Anyone who is part of the Bush team will have a bad mark on their name forever.
A wise person would appoint Fitz as he would bring honesty and respect back to that department but not this Administration.
SPB Libby the convicted felon needs a job.
Good luck on Libby finding a job. I don't hire convicted felons especially Libby, Jackie! LOL!
I wouldn't recommend Fitzgerald for AG under this administration. Perhaps the next administration if he chooses and if he is nominated. I realize that there is a lot to cleanup in the Justice Dept. Until the Gerbil and Mr. 9% leave office, we will continue to have problems under the Gerbil leadership.
p.s. Libby better look for jobs to pay cash under the table...
Gonzales'resignation is long overdue. And it is about time.
