France ready to help stabilise Iraq: Kouchner

BAGHDAD (AFP) - French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner on Monday reiterated his country's readiness to help stabilise Iraq, during a flurry of talks with leaders of the country's bitterly divided communities.


Kuwait reiterates support to Iraq security, stability

KUWAIT: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Dr Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah yesterday underlined Kuwait's support to whatever brings about security and stability in Iraq.The Kuwaiti foreign minister made the remarks during his reception of Dr Khalil Azawi, the political advisor to the Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister Tareq Hashim here yesterday. "Kuwait, standing at one level with all Iraqi parties, does not accept interference in the internal affairs of Iraq whatsoever," Sheikh Mohammad said.He stressed significance that the agreement reached during the Sharm El Sheikh conference on reconciliation in Iraq be implemented, hoping that Iraq became stable and secured and its people prevailed in prosperity.

What a slap in the face to the US, France disgusted enough to want to help the poor Iraqi people. Kuwait has to live next to Iraq and has taken in enough refugees, and is still taking in refugees, I could see them wanting to help out in this mess.
