President Bush, defending his troop surge in Iraq, insisted Thursday that the insurgents attacking US troops in Iraq "are the same ones who attacked us on Sept. 11."
Bush was speaking at a White House press conference on the same day an interim progress report on his troop surge in Iraq was released. Asked for proof of the connection between insurgents in Iraq and the 9/11 hijackers, Bush said both had pledged their allegiance to Osama bin Laden.
"The same folks that are bombing innocent people in Iraq are the ones who attacked us on Sept. 11," Bush said.

So, now the insurgents attacked us on 9/11 not Bin Laden. By the way, where is Bin Laden?

Something is seriously wrong with the Gerbil. Now SPB you can say weed, alcohol and yes brain dead but what ever it is he needs medical treatment. He isn't only incompetent but strange. Things that are right in your face he say aren't there. I know this helps Cheney continue the crime work but I hope if the Gerbil is mental that it's worth making himself look and sound like a complete fool.
Well, (said in Ronnie's voice) we all know Reagan was losing it during his last couple of years, due to the early stages of Alzheimer's.
Then again, the Gerbil may be taking a page out of George Constanza from "Seinfeld, "It's not a lie, if you believe it."
Apparantly they think there are a lot of people in this country stupid enough to keep believing all this. And there might be, people whose only interests are following the Paris stories.
