We heard from Diaperman Vitter and his wife yesterday of his "pathetic cries for forgiveness press conference" for finally getting caught with his pants down. Now, we hear from Ms. Palfrey.
From Inside Edition:
The so-called D.C. Madam, Deborah Jeane Palfrey, minced no words in telling INSIDE EDITION what she thinks of Louisiana Senator David Vitter.
"He is a quintessential hypocrite, and a synonym for a hypocrite is a liar."
Palfrey, is speaking out to INSIDE EDITION in her first TV interview since Louisiana Senator David Vitter admitted to being a client.
With his wife, Wendy by his side, Vitter a conservative, pro-family Republican, apologized for sins in his past in his first public appearance since being outed.
But Palfrey, who in person seems more like a prim suburban housewife than the woman at the center of a D.C. sex scandal, questions the sincerity of Vitter's public apology.
"The problem here, the sticking point here is the hypocrisy issue. This is a man, perhaps a lovely man in his personal life who has portrayed himself as one thing to the people of Louisiana and is an entirely different thing," Palfrey told INSIDE EDITION's Senior Correspondent Jim Moret.
Vitter's name surfaced after Palfrey posted the phone records of her business online. She says she didn't know his phone number was among the thousands of numbers contained in the records.
"I was not aware that he was the junior Senator of Louisiana," Palfrey told INSIDE EDITION. "Many of my clients often just gave their first names. Rarely did they give their last names and even when they did, it didn't register with me."
Palfrey added that she remembers Vitter as "David from C Street," and said he was an "occasional" customer.
Palfrey also said she doesn't know what Vitter did during his appointments. "I have no idea what the Senator was involved with," she said. "I have no idea what happened on any of these appointments. All I know is that the girls signed contracts upfront saying they would not behave in any kind of illegal activity."
Palfrey says she ran an "adult fantasy service," did not cross the line into illegal sex.
Palfrey says she feels sorry for Vitter's wife and four children, but says she's angry that she's being targeted for prosecution while none of her former clients are, and she says Vitter won't be the last big name to come to come to light.
