Convicted former White House aide Scooter Libby has paid “a fine of $250,000.00 and a $400 special assessment” left in place after President Bush commuted his jail sentence. The U.S. District Court “posted the canceled check on the docket this afternoon.”
And that leaves $4,500,000 in his defense fund. Did Libby take out some extra cash for a Happy Meal too?

Libby paid his fine with taxpayers money. Now most of us can't afford the $2.50 cents I have to dig for change for the bus even with the senior price. I must admit the GOP takes care of loyal convicted felons. Only problem is Libby will always and forever be referred to as a convicted felon.
Years will past and little Libby will be at a Sporting Event that only the rich can afford. We will hear about all the famous people in the front row and yes here's Scooter Libby the convicted felon with us tonight. History books will refer to little Scooter Libby the convicted felon. His children will hear how's your Dad the convicted felon. Americans only remember the bad things people do, and if it's not out there they will dig to fine some.
