Breaking: Webb amendment protecting U.S. troops fails.

From Thinkprogress:

Senate conservatives filibustered Sen. Jim Webb’s (D-VA) amendment that would require troops to rest for as much or more time as they are deployed. Today, it failed to get the 60 votes needed (56-41) to move forward.

No surprise as the GOP and the White House could care less if all our troops died in Iraq. Just as long as Cheney can still get that oil that's what counts. Americans just follow the idiot and look up only when it's time for American Idol or Sports. We have 160,000 soldiers in Iraq when they all get killed the invasion will end because there will never be a draft. I even blogged on NBC and asked would any of the anchors who had kids let them join the Military now. No answer yet, but I do know their kids are going to college or getting out of college.
