Statement of the day for Wednesday

From Kittybowtie:

"When did these people start crying about anything being unconstitutional? Before the trial started or after Libby lost? If it was after Libby lost, then they need to shut up and stop wasting everyone's time."

A blast of the past from the closing arguments by defense lawyer Ted Wells: "Just give him back. Give him back to me. Give him back."

Waste of the public's time... Libby belongs in prison. End of story. Please move on defense team!!!!

Wells is losing respect as both a man and a lawyer. Here's a Lawyer of the Year crawling for the GOP. Libby had a chance to clear his name by testifying and letting his two friends Rove and Cheney set the record straight. No Wells had to play games with the Judge and then gave no defense for Libby. Now Libby is a smart lawyer who approved this action in hopes of tricking the jury. It didn't work. Now the Bush loyalist want a convicted criminal free just because he's a friend of the GOP. Mary's begging for money yet the so called Libby friends wont give him a dime. Mitt refuse to pardon a boys bad judgement with a BB Gun as no one was hurt, but he wants a convicted criminal set free because he's a Republican. If the Justice System changes where a convicted Republican can go free while others go to jail. It will be a sad day for Lady Justice and will show Americans we have no Justice in America. Maybe Libby should think about turning in some of those oil shares for his legal fees. If the media and the politicians spent as much time on trying to save our soldiers as they do on Libby maybe our troops would be home by now.

Actually, it will be worse than no justice, it will be justice for some but not everyone. There is justice for the guy who steals a carton of cigarettes at the gas station but not for someone who has friends in high places.
