From the Associated Press today:
WASHINGTON (AP) - Midway through his CIA leak investigation, Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald was pretty sure of two things: First, he wasn't going to charge White House aide I. Lewis ``Scooter'' Libby with revealing a covert operative. And second, he thought Libby's testimony was a bunch of lies.
Documents unsealed in the case Friday revealed that when Fitzgerald subpoenaed New York Times reporter
Judith Miller in 2005, he was already building a perjury and obstruction case against Libby, the former chief of staff to Vice President Dick Cheney.
``Libby's account of conversations has been largely inconsistent with every other material witness to date,'' Fitzgerald wrote in court documents.
Wow! And say it backwards, Wow! And the media are salvating on this latest news. Hate to break it to you, DC pool of sharks, but Truthout.org made this discovery a year ago!!! Hello!
Here is Jason Leopold's article in April 2006 called " Fitzgerald Knew Identity of Leaker From Start:"
Here an excerpt from Jason:
But in early February 2004, a month after he started the investigation, Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald shifted gears and started to build a perjury and obstruction of justice case against White House Deputy Chief of Staff Karl Rove and Vice President Dick Cheney's former Chief of Staff I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby according to several attorneys close to the investigation.
And I even wrote an article on Newsinkling.org a year ago about this same issue. I think resumes should be dusted off from some of the media and apply at Truthout!

There is a short story in Time magazine that is out now. So they were paying attention, a little.
