Uniform at rally led to trouble.
Kansas City, Missouri - An Iraq war veteran has been kicked out of the Marines days early with a general discharge after he wore his uniform during an anti-war demonstration, the military announced Wednesday.
The military said Lt. Gen. John W. Bergman, commanding general of Marine Forces Reserve in New Orleans, agreed Monday to give Marine Cpl. Adam Kokesh a general discharge under honorable conditions, based on the recommendation of a panel that met last week at the Marine Corps Mobilization Command in Kansas City. The general discharge, which is one notch short of honorable, was effective Monday.
Kokesh got in trouble after The Washington Post published a photograph of him in March roaming the nation's capital with other veterans on a mock patrol.
A superior officer e-mailed Kokesh, saying he was being investigated because he might have violated a rule prohibiting troops from wearing uniforms at protests. The demonstration marking the fourth anniversary of the war in Iraq was aimed at bringing the experience of the war home to Americans.
Kokesh, a member of Iraq Veterans Against the War, responded to the superior with an obscenity, prompting the Marines to take steps to remove him with an "other than honorable" discharge.
Kokesh's attorney, Mike Lebowitz, said he planned to appeal to the Navy Discharge Review Board in Washington, D.C., which he described as a step toward getting the case into federal court.

Hi, SP Biloxie,
I've found a very interesting Contribution about economically situation in US, especially the US FED and the US interrest rates:
Fed looses control on US interest rates and crisis reaches China and EU
Hi, Dream Soldier:
The commander guy in the oval officre borrowed money from the Saudis, China, and so on. Yet, he allocated money to Iraq and Afghanistan and much of that money is unaccounted for or thrown away. And the Gerbil's non-money management and business skills has economically broken this country for decades especially the future children.
Hi Dream Soldier,
Wondering what you have been up to;)
Bunch of crap on the General Discharge considering this soldier served honorably, unlike Dubya-who should have received a dishonorable for failing to complete his Guard commitment. Let's not forget the picture of him in uniform, wearing a medal he did not earn.
The JAG defending Adam is with the Ohio National Guard. They will appeal. Hooah!
After democrats had won last year house and senate, I was very much pleased.
Today I am frustrated, which also they cannot terminate the war.
I am deeply sad over that.

It's not Democratic Congress to bring the troops home. It is the people. We have a Democratic Congress that we voted in to clean up the mess from the 109th Congress. But, people need to stop relying on the Congress to be the officials to defeat Bush. it is much harder for Congress to get bill passed with Bush constant vetoing. We put Congress into office and it is up to the people to hold them accountable. People don't realize how hard of an uphill struggle to work with the President when the President keeps changing the rules. This is not a cake walk for Congress. Both sides of the political party are divided in issues. That is why there such an uproar to impeach Cheney. Cheney is the actual person operating the WH not Bush. You get rid of Cheney and that will weaken Bush.
I will consider your words.
Well, in the Democratic Party are some people, who support the oil politics of Cheney, I think..
Cheney is a rat but does people know that?
Greed for money is his intention and therefore he goes over corpses
Do you know, how the opinion of the Americans over Cheney is?
I hope it become ever more, which are for Impeachment.
The world waits for decisions
How does the american people think ? Let me know, please.
