Hmmm..Former Deputy Attorney General Comey's testimony to Congress and the midnight visit by Andy Card and Gonzo to Ashcroft's hospital bedside to recertify a secret program.
What program? It appears to me that it may be the NSA's Total Information Awareness program. The private records of at least 50 million Americans are in this database, and since it was being fed directly from the telephone switches at AT&T, Verizon and Bellsouth and ISP e-mail servers from all ISPs, there was no way of stopping it without killing the massive domestic infrastructure created for this program.
The real question is did this PrismNet company either forwarded all Karl's e-mails to the TIA or was in violation of the National Security Letter it was presumably given? Congress only needs to search the TIA database for these e-mails to establish which option they chose.
